Appearance:
Ranges from light reddish brown to dark brown with a purple tint. Seasons to a deep, dark brown. Mostly straight grain. Sapwood clearly demarcated.
Properties:
Highly durable, hard wood.
Principal Uses:
Flooring, heavy carpentry, bridges, veneers, stairs and crates.
