Appearance: It is a light blond color with actual pieces of several wood products throughout the plank. Swirls of colors and different grains in medium to dark tones.
Scrap wood from wood factories and/or lumber mills are now being utilized as they are shredded into small strands dipped into various soy dyes creating unique patterns and colors in our High-Tech strandwoven.
High Tech #1 is very hard, very durable and moisture resistant. Due to its durability, it is suitable for both commercial and residential purposes-ideal for high traffic areas. High Tech #1, as with other strandwoven flooring options is an eco-friendly flooring choice. This is because all scraps left behind in making standard hardwood planks are recycled and used when making High Tech #1.
Properties: Strandwoven is a one-piece board since the strands are glued together. This makes it extremely durable and easy to care for. It is ideal for high traffic areas. Finished strandwoven floors have a rich texture that are extremely durable at an incredible 2820 PSI. This puts strandwoven flooring in the same category as Iron Wood and Brazilian Cherry in terms of durability, but is more affordable and much easier to work with.
