About Strandwoven...
Strandwoven is perhaps one of the most eco-friendly flooring choices. This is because all scraps left behind in making standard bamboo planks are recycled and used when making strandwoven bamboo. High quality strandwoven flooring comes with precisely cut strands arranged in parallel lines and interwoven together. Strandwoven is a one-piece board since the strands are pressed and glued together.
The process of making the strandwoven is unique in that any woody type materials will work in the manufacturing process of strandweaving. This process uses the scraps or strips of wood or branches that would normally be discarded as waste material and burned.
Strandwoven is the art of taking woody materials that are dipped into a non-toxic solution which causes them to permanently bond to each other when compressed under intense pressure and then heated. This process has become widely available for utilizing various types of woody materials.
Because of the intense pressure it is put under, strandwoven is virtually waterproof for a short period of time which allows if a floor were to flood, and would be cleaned up within a 24 hour period, it will not take on water thus making the strandwoven the most unique wood flooring product in the market today.

Mulberry Strandwoven
Mulberry bush branches during the pruning season in the past were discarded and burned. The strandwoven technology has given us the opportunity to utilize these branches to give a uniquely beautiful floor.
Bamboo Strandwoven
The harvesting of the bamboo for the strandwoven is done the same as your traditional bamboo flooring. The same processes are followed as traditional bamboo as far as boiling to remove the sugars, after cutting the bamboo stalk into slats. The difference is the slicing of the bamboo into smaller strands making the weaving of the product
High Tech Wood Strandwoven
Scrap wood from wood factories and/or lumber mills are now being utilized as they are shredded into small strands dipped into various soy dyes creating unique patterns and colors in our High-Tech strandwoven.
