Appearance: Tigerstrand bamboo flooring is made of high density bamboo fiber. It's mixed with natural and carbonized colors, giving the appearance of a tiger-like striped pattern.
As with other strandwoven bamboo choices, Tigerstrand bamboo is twice as hard as normal bamboo flooring. It is very hard, very durable and moisture resistant. Due to its durability, it is suitable for both commercial and residential purposes-ideal for high traffic areas. Tigerstrand bamboo, as with other strandwoven flooring options is an eco-friendly flooring choice. This is because all scraps left behind in making standard bamboo planks are recycled and used when making Tigerstrand bamboo.
Properties: Strandwoven is a one-piece board since the strands are glued together. This makes it extremely durable and easy to care for. It is ideal for high traffic areas. Finished strandwoven floors have a rich texture that are extremely durable at an incredible 2820 PSI. This puts strandwoven flooring in the same category as Iron Wood and Brazilian Cherry in terms of durability, but is more affordable and much easier to work with.
